After the Telematics Detroit 2013 conference & exhibition held last week, Talksum joined the Connected Vehicle Trade Association (CVTA) upon request. I had the pleasure of attending our first  CVTA workshop in Detroit yesterday as both an influencer and contributor to on-going development of the connected vehicle environment.

The CVTA is a non-profit business league established to facilitate the interaction, and advance the interests, of the entities involved in the vehicle communication environment. The CVTA enables the collaboration of companies, organizations, and governmental bodies engaged in developing bidirectional vehicle communications.

As a recent CVTA member, Talksum aims to help the development of the connected car through our V2V and V2I DSRC data processing, management, and analytics knowledge. Our telematics solution is designed to accelerate real-time decisions through improved data acquisition, transformation, filtering, and routing. Our product handles data sets at the vehicle level and/or the data center level and can format data in real time, as well as enrich data by correlating events with other external data sources.

By working with the CVTA and attending their functions, we will strive to help support their vision – to enable a world of safe, efficient, and effective travel through real-time traveler connectivity.

Talksum Unveils High-Speed V2V and V2I DSRC Solution for the Connected Vehicle

« Back to Press Releases

San Francisco, CA — June 5, 2013 — Talksum, Inc., a leader in high-speed data processing and management solutions, today unveiled its V2V and V2I DSRC data processing, management, and analytics solution for the connected vehicle. Designed to accelerate real-time decisions, the Talksum DSRC solution improves data acquisition and transformation, and converts data into flexibly managed event streams, tailored for V2V and V2I DSRC systems.

The Talksum solution handles data sets at both the vehicle level and/or data center level and can format data in real time, as well as enrich data by correlating events with other external data sources.

The Talksum Data Stream filters, data reduces, monitors, aggregates, enriches, analyzes, and routes live streams to power, in real time, data sensor information such as engine performance, braking, travel direction, velocity, road conditions, and other vehicle and safety needs.

In addition, the Talksum product includes foundational components for regulatory compliance, government standards, and policy control, including future NHTSA compliance.

“The Talksum Data Stream product can be embedded in vehicles for V2V communications and within the data center for V2I initiatives,” said Alex Varshavsky, founder and CEO of Talksum. “In the data center, the product also takes in other information such as weather channel, RSS feeds, USGS, and other feeds, performs the same functions as the Talksum Data Stream product embedded in the vehicle, and then routes to vehicles, storage, third-party APIs, and remote sites, as applicable.”

The Talksum solution ingests and normalizes any type of sensor data, including JSON, CEE, OpenXC, and others. Since the Talksum Data Stream solution is hardware-based, it is easy to deploy and implement and is highly configurable without the need for specialized coding.
